The Zenith Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger 24mm Shave Brush, model number 205 B17, is a popular option among wet shaving enthusiasts due to its high-quality materials and superior performance. Here are some pros and cons to help you make an informed decision about whether this brush is the right choice for you:
Pros:1. High-quality materials: This brush features a premium knot made from best-grade Wenghen boar bristles and a sturdy brass handle. The boar bristles provide an excellent lather, distribute it evenly, and deliver a close, comfortable shave.
2. Large brush head: The brush head size is 48mm, which is considered large by wet shaving standards. This allows for more coverage of the face during shaving, making it an ideal choice for those with large areas to cover.
3. Good backbone: The brush has a good backbone, which means it retains its shape well during use and provides an excellent level of control while lathering and shaving.
4. Classic look and feel: The Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger Shaving Brush has a classic and elegant look, with its polished brass handle and high-quality bristles. It will fit perfectly in any traditional wet shaving setup.
5. Good value for the price: Compared to some other premium shaving brushes on the market, the Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger Shaving Brush is affordable, making it a good value for the money.
Cons:1. Break-in time: As with all boar bristle brushes, the Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger Shaving Brush requires a break-in period. During this time, the bristles will soften up and become more pliable, allowing for a better shaving experience.
2. Not suitable for those with sensitive skin: Some people with sensitive skin may find that boar bristles are too harsh for their face. In this case, a badger or synthetic bristle brush may be a better option.
3. Requires proper hygiene: Boar bristles need to be cleaned and conditioned after each use to maintain their quality and performance. Failure to do so can lead to a buildup of bacteria and an unpleasant shaving experience.
4. Potential shedding: Boar bristles may shed slightly more compared to synthetic or badger bristles, but this is a common issue with most shaving brushes of this type.
Conclusion:The Zenith Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger 24mm Shave Brush is a high-quality and versatile option for wet shaving enthusiasts. Its premium materials, large brush head, classic look and feel, and good value for the price make it a popular choice among those who want a comfortable and efficient shaving experience. However, it does require a break-in period and may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin. Prospective buyers should consider these factors and weigh them against the benefits before making a decision.
Recommendation:If you are looking for a high-performing shaving brush with a large brush head and classic design, the Zenith Wenghen Boar Badger Shaving Brush is a great option to consider. It will provide you with a close, comfortable shave, and its sturdy brass handle ensures that it will last for a long time. Just remember to allow for a break-in period and to clean and condition the brush properly after each use for optimal performance.
I expect this Zenith brush will do the same for you. This has a 24mm premium boar knot hand crafted by Zenith.
Already in 1902 he participated in the fair in Genoa getting a coveted award for the quality of its products. Because of this shorter loft it will take longer than other Zenith brushes to break in. Total weight is 50 grams for the brush.
Many consider that brush as the finest face lathering boar brush ever made. The loft is set at 48mm with a 41 43mm effective loft from the glue bump. Their shaving brushes and knots are hand made by skilled artisans the old fashioned way. I also went with a 24mm knot because Zenith brushes splay less than smogs.
Loft is set at 48mm. I had this created as an homage to the 2013 Barber classic cedar that was created by smog for the Portuguese forum of the same name. Effective loft is 41 43mm from glue bump. After contacting the manufacturer, I decided to bring these special brushes to you.
Obviously the looks are different with the dark stained wood and natural rather than dyed bristles of the smog. My original Zenith brush has given me and is still giving me years of pleasure. It certainly is my favorite brush from smog.
The quality of products is guaranteed nullifies Gandalf experience gained over time, from the careful selection of raw materials and the use of skilled labor. Zenith is a brand of shaving brushes made by nullifies Gandalf in Palermo, italy. I like it better than the 620, 2000 and soc.
As I learned more about shaving brushes, I wrongfully assumed that this brush was made by nullifies omega, the famous Italian brush manufacturer. Fortunately in the spring of 2015, I stumbled across some discussion posts on Zenith brushes, but was unable to purchase one here in the states.
Unfortunately, the Barber classic is no longer available. This Zenith brush is an homage rather than trying to replicate it. Wood handle stained very dark, almost black. Since 1902, this family run business has produced quality brushes not just for shaving needs, but also for paint, artists, and cosmetics.
It quickly became my favorite brush and I used it solely for 6/7 years. The logo wore off years ago, but I always remembered that it was made in italy.
It should be one the scrubbiest Zenith brushes the other is big and scrubby b14 aluminum handled one, but because of the finer bristles, I don't expect it to fully match the smog in crabbiness.
